Banning Sex Toys?! Nanny of the Month, September ‘09

December 6, 2009 by

Whether you love it, hate it, or have never thought about it, chances are some nanny wants to ban it. Pit bulls, horse carriages, fireplaces, chewing tobacco, chickens, shark tours, big snakes–they were all on someone’s hit list in September 2009. Same for smoking in parks, selling homemade pie at farmers markets, and getting tattoos. Busybodies took aim at all those things, but there’s only one Nanny of the Month for September 2009 … The Alabama Supreme Court–for banning sex toys. More …

Because you are being told what you can and can’t do.

  2. AnduinX says:

    lmao :P

Funny, the cumbersome comment-response system on YouTube makes it seem like you’re claiming “some people buy sex toys and find they can’t take care of them.”

  4. SpellboundSolution says:

Interesting related videos there! Do you know what the most dangerous of all activities is? Living. Everybody who has ever lived has died as a result of it, and being alive will lead to your death someday too. Why doesnt the government ban living and be done with it.

    I believe in Republican government.

“Advocates of a republic, a form of government that is not a monarchy or dictatorship, and is generally associated with the rule of law.

Republicanism, the ideology in support of republics or against monarchy; the opposite of monarchism ”

    aka Classical Liberalism. Libertarianism.

  6. FatherTime89 says:

If I were you I’d define myself by an ideology not by a political party. Partys change and swing but ideologies remain constant.

  7. getsetrecords says:

People who have hijacked the party are not real republicans. they call themselves republicans. I am actually what you would call a Classical Liberal, meaning I support the constitution of the US VERBATIM and nothing more, nothing less. I’d be a real republican. “Conservative” would mean you want to preserve the status quo. Returning to 1776 constitutional standards is pretty liberal nowadays I’d think lol.

  8. FatherTime89 says:

you mean real conservatives right? The republicans have waged war on porn before.

  9. FatherTime89 says:

So then ban releasing them into the wild, that actually causes harm whereas the owning of a snake does not.

  10. Freethought42 says:

    Ah, doesn’t surprise me.

Though this stuff is usually the target of the moral majority types.

  11. pulpculture says:

The Alabama sex toy ban was passed by Democrats, and its main sponsor was a Democrat.

  12. AnduinX says:

Some people buy them and find they can’t take care of them. Some, however, buy them and take care of them successfully.

It’s telling me I can’t have steak because a baby can’t chew it.

  13. TheWhiteOtaku says:

How is banning big snakes being a nanny though? People buy them and then they find out that they cant take care of them so they throw them out into the wildlife and before you know it you have boas and shit like in florida.

  14. ab1tchslap says:

As a christian I respect God’s gift of free will. Certainly a government can’t make individuals more moral. Where is the Martin Luther of Alabama?

  15. ladylordess says:

EXACTLY!!! If you generalize about residents of Alabama that way, then you are considered racist in this country (these days anyway). It would be the same as saying that Obama is an animal because he looks like the boys who beat the chicago boy to death with the split rail road tie. Generalizations don’t hold up.

  16. getsetrecords says:

Real republicans do not think this way.

  17. highonhayek says:

    HA!!

Well, yeah, they do have issues…

but let’s not forget San Francisco’s banning of plastic bags.

  18. Freethought42 says:

Don’t make assumptions about me… Fucktard

  19. russkeller says:

Hey Fucktard. Stop calling the kettle black

  20. smttysmth02gt says:

There are people like that everywhere. Don’t generalize everyone who lives there into that category.

  21. merickel123 says:

Well what do you expect its Alabama, home of the one-tooth redneck jack pine savages who need a big brother to tell them whats wrong and whats moral.

  22. Freethought42 says:

    Oh no!!!

People are doing taboo things in their own homes that affect no one else!!!

Fuck Republicans who think big government is ok as long as it’s imposing morality.

  23. QuartuvLarry says:

They don’t have the foresight to know that. Add stupidity to laziness, you got the modern day Obamabot! The same folks who tell you to “Live in the moment” but will run away when it’s time to live in the moment the bill is due!

  24. G0dspelronin says:

The problem with that is nothing is ever for free. There is always going to be a time to pay the piper. These kind of scams have never been faithful to their promises.lol.

  25. QuartuvLarry says:

“I still don’t get why anyone would want to become subservient to another human.”

Laziness. Apathy. Being promised lots of free shit in exchange for others’ freedoms. Plenty of political whores doing that out there.
